Andrew Lutfy started his career as a stock clerk in 1982 at the very first GDI store and is today the sole owner and Chief Executive Officer of GDI. In 2012, Andrew co-founded the property development and management powerhouse, Carbonleo, where he serves as President & Chief Executive Officer. Andrew has been recognized with the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award in 2007 and the Distinguished Retailer of the Year Award in 2016. He is a dedicated philanthropist and serves as Capital Campaign Cabinet Co-Chair of Cedars Cancer Foundation, was Co-Chair of the record-breaking 2019 Centraide campaign, and has instilled across GDI a strong sense of commitment to our community and charity organizations.
Andy Janowski brings a wealth of experience in the fashion industry, notably as current board member at TechStyle Fashion Group, and previously as Chief Executive Officer of J. Hilburn, Chief Executive Officer of Smythson, Chief Operations Officer at Burberry, Vice President at Gap Inc., Chairman of the Board at J. Hilburn, Chairman of the Board at Zachary Prell, and director of the board at Escada.
Chris Arsenault has built extensive management experience in high-tech industries, where he honed his skills in business development, strategic planning, venture growth, and scaling operations, as co-founder, President & CEO of Inovia Capital, and as a director on the boards of AppDirect, Poka, Super.com, Talent.com, LifeHouse; and until recently, Lightspeed, Luxury Retreats, Reflex Photonics, and Well.ca. Chris is also a board member of the Montreal Heart Institute Foundation, and of Forum AI Québec, and a Charter Member of Silicon Valley-based The C100.
Linda Drysdale is Chief Financial Officer of Pet Valu (TSE:PET), the largest pet specialty retailer in Canada, where she formerly served on the Board of Directors and as Chair of the Audit Committee. Prior to Pet Valu, Linda served as Chief Financial Officer with Interac Corp. and Canadian Tire Bank and held senior executive roles with Canadian Tire and BCE. Linda has over 25 years of extensive knowledge in finance, risk management, audit, and retail, and over 15 years of experience working closely with boards of directors and board audit committees. Linda holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Waterloo and a Graduate Diploma in Accounting from Wilfrid Laurier University. She is a CPA, CA.
Marie Josée Lamothe, President of Tandem International, is a lauded expert in digital transformation and global branding. Over a 25 year career, Marie Josée has held executive positions in the competitive digital and consumer product industries at Google, L’Oréal, and Procter & Gamble. She is also a Professor of Practice at McGill University, a government advisor and sits on prominent Canadian public and private boards.
Peter Iliopoulos currently serves as President, Investments of Andrew Lutfy’s Family Office and is responsible for overseeing the investment portfolio. Prior to this, Peter served as Senior Vice President, Taxation, Sustainability and Governmental Affairs at Gildan Activewear Inc. for over 22 years. His previous roles include head of taxation for a public manufacturing company and a mutual fund company. Peter has served on the Board of Directors of the National Council of Textile Organizations in the United States and the Sustainable Apparel Coalition (now known as Cascale). In 2024, Peter received a Canada’s Clean50 Award. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce and a Graduate Diploma in Public Accountancy from McGill University. Additionally, Peter earned his Chartered Professional Accountant (CA, CPA) designation from the Quebec Order of Chartered Professional Accountants in 1995.
